Baiiiiii…..Weiiiiiiii………Xiuuuuuuuu!
Do you like the way I exclaimed? My mother said the way I exclaimed so cute.
FYI, my speech is slurred and I am hearing impaired. ( Felicia and Fiona know that.) If I meet you again and if the situation allow, I will exclaim “Baiiiiii……Weiiiii…..Xiuuuu’ when I am near you. You want that?
Okay, back to comment on your postings of pics.. It is nice to see you doing good deeds , rescuing poor sea animals from captivity.
BTW, I visit some restaurants which show pics of your artistes colleagues eating turtles. Did you see how turtles are killed in cruel manner , their heads are bashed to death and tears are seen coming out from their eyes. ( my relative told me it is a sin to eat turtle meat because of the methods used.)

Hi Joanne, I assume you are Buddhist then? I’m not a very staunch Buddhist, but I applaud you for doing such a meaningful act. 🙂
Sorry, I’m not doubting your sincerity or all those who beliff in the “放生” activities.
But have you wonder, if there’s no such activities, would such a large amount of animals and sea creatures be caught in the first place (and probably injured/died in the process of being caught and transferred around) ?
And what’s the purpose of “放生” when likely these poor creatures are caught again almost immediately and sent to the kitchen ? Maybe to be eaten by the very same people who “放生” just a moment ago.
All for a day or two of goodness ? Sigh…
heloo
hi joanne,
im rly happy tt u updated ur blog agn! :] i always took so long tym to update and i rly wonder where u get so much tym from. hahas. im starting to feel tt blogging is a tiring thing to do. =p
andand im rly rly rly curious abt y the earthquake happen. i got a lot of different answers from my frens like the earth’s surface moved and stuffs. from that, i began thinking abt how fortunate abt sporeans are. we do not need to worrk abt such things except for natural resources tt spore is lacking in. [water n stuffs] uh well, this sounds so geographic. =x i wonder how are the victims of the sichuan ppl doin and where will they stay in now. oh sigh* we r a bunch of very fortunate ppl.
you look cute in the hat!!
=))
hey joanne,
its quite a meaningful activity.
its so good, to see them back to where they belong 😀
i just hope that those fish are still alive when they are freed =)
its is said by my teacher that our much younger generations will not knoe wad is seafood as they are already extinct T.T
hello joanne!
life in temasek sec is eewhh.
tons of hmwk, uh.
btw, you from VJC right?
haha. great to see you saving those animals from captivity!
love you loads,
wan ni
iweekly reported that you will be taking part in the blockbuster, little noya! Seems like a really promising and much anticipated drama. im really looking forward to it. Do update frequently on it when filming has started please! =D
heehee, that’s y i’m vegetarian 🙂
hey joanne! i heard that if u 放生 certain fishes/creatures, u cant/are not allowed eat them for ur whole life.
i think this activity is very meaningful.
after i read this post, i am so happy.:D
because ive been a vegetarian and i really hope people will not have this mindset that animals are meant to be eaten.
this activity you posted is very good & it teaches evryone.
i think evryone should all do such good deeds to not give the animals more sufferings anymore.
as for the person who commented “just me..”
i think you should not even doubt the sincerity.
放生 is a very good way. & i strongly encourage more people to do that. not only on special days but perhaps, everyday?
you say” what’s the purpose of “放生” when likely these poor creatures are caught again almost immediately and sent to the kitchen ? Maybe to be eaten by the very same people who “放生” just a moment ago.”
this is fate. if th animal is fated to be slaughtered & kill,
then we have no choice. but at least we did have th chance to let free of some. & we did try our best to save some.
at least these animals can have th moment of happiness.
& you shouldn’t think sooo much in th first place by doubting this act of kindness.
you should be positive, not pessimist.
anyways, i am happy you posted this!
i love this post, joanne.<3
