aiyo.. u noe everyday i visit your blog… in hope of something in ENGLISH! but… it never happens… what is with you and chinese???
i’m still your no.1 fan…
truly agreed with what you said. But at times, during fit of anger, we normally don’t react normally due to the anger and impatience rushing thru our heads… and blast the words came out irregardless of how hurtful it may sounds. Only after that we do realise how heavy the damage is.. maybe before we blast we can take a few deep breath, calm ourselves down and then slowly say whatever we want but in a nicer manner…after a hectic long run, normally we cool down by breath in and breath out rite? so i think same theory applies here 🙂
anyway, the Beijing souvenirs that you’ve displayed I also have! LOL.. i believed the 1 that you displayed below the cans are key chains right?
these 5 mascots are called Fuwa. Each of them have individual names. They are namely “BeiBei”, “JingJing”, “HuanHuan”, “YingYing”, & “NiNi”. Combine each of these mascots first name together and you will have “Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni” literally meaning, in english. heee… Last year heard from my tour guide whilst in Shanghai for a short holiday.
more info can be found here…
Joanne, do take care, lately you are so busy… *grump*
Joanne did explained why she used chinese most of the time for her blog somewhere in her archive so u gotta take some time to search thru lo….

In respond to ur this entry,my opinion was sometimes things are not within our control,we speak freely and sometimes hurts other with our words, without us knowing. The best thing to do at the moment is to remain calm and think first, sometimes people don’t think so much and say what they want and they like.Yup we need to be rational always! =) hehe those cans is soo cute!!!=)
It’s been quite awhile since i last tagged… But i still do read ur entries ya… Heh!
Well, i really agree with wat u’ve said… We’ve always taken pple ard us for granted, sometimes to the extend of hurting them and not caring abt their feelings… I dun deny im also like that sometimes but i’ll always feel very bad after that… So i guess i’ve to work harder in that area bah… Haha!
Anyway, i believe u muz be very busy now since there’s a new drama for u… So do take care ya! And rest well too… =)
well.. ppl do take things for granted at times. so gotta keep reminding ourselves.

I was from Temasek Sec. 🙂
I know what you mean! Sigh…
I guess I want to preserve most of myself in this blog, rather than let it become just a platform to publicise.
Every entry is written because I want to share my thoughts and my entries depend a lot on whether I can express that particular subject I’m writing about better in Chinese or English.
I don’t want to end up writing for the sake of writing, because I want to be as true to all of you as you are to me. I’m sorry the non-Chinese group feels alienated. It is definitely not my intention to do so, but I sincerely hope you can be patient for my English entries ok?
I may not update often, but I will, when inspiration hits. 🙂 Promise.
Nat…i think u gotta search for it la….slowly read all the archive…i remember Joanne did mentioned somewhere that was like months ago but definitely is within this year.
Have fun reading~becos i did!!
so happy to see you posting again 🙂 I am so upset now. My car just got banged… so freaking angry and disappointed. Now my bumper don’t know look like what. Need to do and respray!!!
往往对妈妈都很不客气。 对很close的朋友偶尔也会。。。是因为我们take them for granted or is it we are so close that we feel we unknowningly 流露出我们最真实的一面?
虽然大家都知道这问题。。。可是要如何在说话之前都考虑到 这点却有不会slow down in talking? 很多时候很多话都是一时冲动而已。。。往往都是说出来的那一刹那之后才后悔。。。thats why sometimes i like to chat over msn rather than face 2 face ><
hi joanne jie jie,
i agree with you that we may take our families like silblings for granted. they may not know any respect but we should also not take them for granted.. my view was, if you take them for granted, they will also take you for granted.. so to keep on the relationship, we should respect one another and do not take anyone who love you for granted… do you agree joanne jie jie?

Hi joanne jie jie… i agree with what you said…the beijing souveniorrs you displayed are cans and keychains? i have the keychains…the people from china came to our school for an exhibition and they sold fans, badges and keychains…and i bought the keychains. Each of them have individual names. They are namely “BeiBei”, “JingJing”, “HuanHuan”, “YingYing”, & “NiNi”. Combine each of these mascots first name together and you will have “Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni” ..cool right …haz.

even you are busy do take good care of yourself.. lately many around me started having bad flu, cough fever etc etc.. I myself also not very well, went to Sims Avenue the other night and had supper with my girlfriend at the Sims Ave famous dim sum outlet 126 opposite Lorong 17 Geylang.. food is very nice but after that, I start having bad stomach headache (stomachache.. LOL) I don’t know if it’s the dim sum or because I am falling sick so the stomachache all came together..
hope to hear from you soon or see your post k? eat well, rest well, play well and sleep well j0annE!
Just want to share a story that is on the theme of anger as well.
Once there was a boy with a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he should hammer a nail in the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. But gradually, the number of daily nails dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.
Finally the first day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He proudly told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence.
“You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out, it won’t matter how many times you say ‘I’m sorry’, the wound is still there.”
Please don’t force Joanne to write in english, if she feels more comfortable with writting chinese for that particular post. When she finds that english would be better for her to express her feelings, thoughts, emotion and others, she will write in english. Please do not blame anyone if one chinese is not good.If one is chinese and is bad in chinese,i don’t know what to say.Your own roots.
Hi! I remembered the last time I posted on your Tagboard/Shoutbox/Cbox to recommend you to switch to WordPress. I didn’t know if that has impacted your switch to WP, but from your blog I can see that you’re starting to love WordPress.
Anyway, I’ve a WordPress blog too, it’s about Gaming, IT and Jokes. Click here to visit!
What a wonderful story. Yes, that is a good analogy for peeps who get into great anger easily, some damage will leave scars for eternity, so be careful to check your own temper always. Whenever, you feel like exploding, take a few deep breaths, and put yourself in the other shoes if you should flare up. Treat your loved ones and your friends with great respect, and you will greatly sow rewards from good relationships you fostered.
Joanne muz be busy these days,no new posts frm u!!Hope to hear frm u soon.Bye!!U roxs 4eva:)
